Monday October 8, 2007 23:35 Has it really been a month? This is what I have been doing. ![]() ![]() ![]()
Peace~ Timothy Monday September 10, 2007 01:53 The other day I read on Joe.My.God that Andrew Sullivan, boy genius, was married recently in Provincetown. Clicking on the links provided I looked at the pictures and oohed at the candlelit beach and moonwashed seascape. After genuinely wishing them a thought of happiness, if for no other reason than they had the balls and planning skills to get their friends and family together at the eastern tip of the United States and declared for all those gathered to witness the commitment they have made to each other, I continued on my webby way. This Evening whilst digging around downstairs in the wayback machine(The Frankenstein patchwork computer our one-and-only-ever houseshare, Michelangelo, put together for me.) I came across an item that I would like to share in honor of those recent seaside nuptials. Gay Marriage: Marriage is a blessing, a blessing is an outward sign of love, love is for each of us, each of us can make a marriage, and marriage is a blessing. Two of us, together in the time we are given on this earth, each loving and caring for another above another, for keeps, for real, for years now. Romantic, platonic, unconditional, transformational, love. Le Duc and I aren't married. We still can't call it that here. We were civilly united. In terms of commitment we actually married each other years ago in a field no blessings but the stars. To me, it's all about the love. I hope Andrew and his husbear live happily ever after. The gay marriage rant, above in bold, was written on February 25, 2004. There was a lot of love in the air. I have pages and pages about gay marriage in the archives of that time. July 2004 was a good month for Gay Marriage rants. Not all the links work, but if you look down to about the 22nd of the month I was hopping mad by then. Peace~ timothy[at]adamandandy[dot]com Friday September 7, 2007 10:17 DON'T BUY FROM MESH COMPUTERS! The previous link is self-explanatory. I'm just trying to remain compliant. Also, Don't buy from Gateway! Have your system built locally!!!! I'm going local for my next hardware update. Peace~ Timothy{at}adamandandy.com Monday September 3, 2007 10:17 And now for something completely different. Timothy and Eureka via flickr. Peace~ Timothyatadamandandy.com Sunday August 20, 2007 23:40 The Summer here in The Northeast corner of Connecticut has been an interesting time. The Town I wlive in is going through growing pains, or maybe better said, is having squeezing pains. The areas around us, metro Providence , RI, Hartford, Ct and Boston , Ma. are slowly growing their way towards us. I fear the days of the "Quiet Corner" of NECT might be coming to an end. It sure is louder than I remember it ever being downtown. Motorcycles are everywhere! That will slow as the cold weather sets in. Sure is cool out there tonight. I'm on the radio tomorrow morning, Monday 9AM EDT winyradiodotcom (CBATMAL) a local talk show, touting the virtues of the facade improvement programs available to the businesses and building owners of our town. We have recently seen a big push in exterior improvements (read: lipstick on the pig) we are hoping that the facade and historical features funds that are currently available will stimulate some improvement to some of the more prominent properties that haven't been attended to in years. (read: blight) Eureka is in such a building, it is 80 years old and has never been renovated. I don't think it needs any renovation, but a little facelift and some careful restoration of it's better features could go a long way to helping make it a building that can see another 80 years of commercial service. The inside is a completely different story. If I had the money I'd hire a crew, as it is, I do my best to keep up with the dust. Le Duc and I are in a transitional stage here at the homestead. WE have been here for ten years and are starting to feel the need to rearrange and regain control of the house. Currently, Baxter rules the roost and I need a new living room suite. The biggest obtacle to getting new furniture here is getting rid of the old stuff. I'm a bit of a miser when it comes to decorative furnishings and for what I paid for the current set , for my money, It should have lasted another 10 years. They sure don't make things to last these days. Maybe I'll just empty the room and go minimalist. OOPS! there again, where do you put the stuff you already have? In my last "save changes" here in the coneccentric file manager I seem to have lost all the html from the last paragraph south. All gone. DAMN! Will try to reconstruct. Well, I didn't get it all. but there you go. The links bar is from 2004, not sure how up to date it is. The rest will have to await another day. Peace~ Timothyatadamandandy.com |
